If you haven’t noticed, people are already exploiting this weakness. Just last week, hackers managed to steal over 50 million Apple iCloud logins. They used a phishing attack to trick victims into giving away their login credentials.

And while this particular attack targeted iCloud accounts, Pokemon Go is just as vulnerable. Once hackers have obtained your login details, they’ll be able to gain access to any website you’ve linked to your Google account. That includes your Pokemon Go account.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do about this. Hackers are going to get whatever information they want, and there’s really no way to change that. There are, however, ways to reduce the damage they can cause.
